Active2: possible to configure screen timeout for wake gesture?

It occurs to me that the screen timeout for the wake gesture is not the same as the standard screen timeout setting which applies only once you have started interacting with the watch.

I have my screen timeout set to 15 seconds. If the watch face is turned on via wake gesture, it only stays on for 5 seconds unless I interact with the screen or buttons. This is not an issue for me, HOWEVER...

When I am in a workout, a run in particular, the wake gesture only keeps the screen on for 2 seconds or less!! I want to use the wake gesture to check on my run and this is not enough time for me to process distance/pace/etc information. Given that I am on a run, it is not practical for me to mess with the watch buttons or face: i just want to raise my wrist, see how I am doing, and continue on my way.

Please help! Thank you.
