Active Watch 2 HIIT tracking

Hi

I notice that this watch doesn't have a specific HIIT or interval training option on the activity tracking (my training partner has an interval training option on her Apple watch). Is the circuit training option the same as this? This is really important to me as HIIT is my main form of exercise and I need the tracking to be accurate.

I'm in the same boat! I bought this watch mainly to track my workouts, and now I'm wishing I had done a little more research since the majority of my workouts are HIIT. I honestly find it ridiculous that HIIT isn't a tracking option when it is an option on almost every other smart watch. I'm hoping for an update SOON to correct this.

Yes I agree with all of this! So frustrating! Give us a HIIT option !!! I go a lot of HIIT/Plyometrics etc and it's just not tracking the calories lost.

Guys, im not sure if you are aware (i wasn't, i just saw it yesterday) that you can change "other workout" settings, from moderate to vigorous... In this way it records around 200 kcal burnt compared to 100 before (for 30 min HIIT workout)

Mines set to vigorous, still a huge difference when coloured to Apple watch 'mixed cardio' setting

Just got a Samsung Fit. I'm also disappointed that HIIT is not an option but Badminton and Handball is. You would thing there are waaaay more people doing HIIT over those activities. I am going to test out Other Workout, Circuit Training Aerobics and Martial Arts. I'll let you know my findings.

Workout - Other Workout (click on ellipses ...) - scroll to Intensity and change to Vigorous.

I just got my watch last week and obviously like everyone else, was upset with no HIIT feature. My Apple watch has the HIIT feature which is nice as over 50% of my workout is that.

Hopefully - they figure this out soon!

Good job. Many thanks DannyT. I was update my watch last morning, i seen the lap on exercise mode. It would be great if can set the exercise from samsung health on the phone
