Keyboard app close afeter android pie update

My Galaxy tab S4 got the android pie update last night. After installation I notice that the Samsung keyboard app close constantly when the tablet in portrait position, it doesn't happen in landscape position. For the moment I solved the problem by installing a new keyboard. Still want  to use the Samsung keyboard, how to solve that problem?

Let's see if I can get this sorted for you, so you can get back to using the Samsung Keyboard.

Firstly, let's try clearing the cache and the data of the keyboard. 

Head to: Settings > Apps > More (Show System Apps) > Samsung Keyboard > Storage > Clear Cache/Clear Data.

(Clearing the data may remove any learned languages and words)
