Galaxy tablet s3 9.7 S NOTE app probs

Hello:

Finally using my tablet again after a Gmail lockout which meant going to a Samsung Centre to get the OS reflashed. Only to find out when I got home that it's a different version to what I had. When I phoned the centre they said it was a newer version of the OS which has been installed Nougat 7.0 (not sure what version prior to this)

Anyway i can live with the new OS version but it seems to come with a dodgy  S NOTE app which seems to be an older version  -or different anyway, not as good - but more frustratingly when I open it  it crashes when Wi-Fi is on, but bizarrely  ok when Wi-Fi off.

I don't want to have to trail to the shop again for them to sort it out and i cant seem to find the app online does anyone have any ideas/solutions? Have tried hard resetting the tablet no joy.

Thank you

The device may have been on Marshmallow.

If this was my situation i would start by going into settings and apps then storage and clear the cache.

Also check no updates are pending in your Playstore my apps section.

Then if necessary delete the app from the device and your my Apps in the PlayStore and re download it.

A very last resort being a Hard Reset after backing up.

Check that no preference settings in relation to WiFi are add a ting the app.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Hi thanks  for responding

I thought  I'd checked for updates in the Samsung PlayStore but obviously didn't check  hard enough. I spoke to the Samsung  store again and they also said check for updates... and there it was!

So updated and now all good!

Thanks again 🙂
