My Galaxy TabA, when I switch it on it has a blank screen and just buffers. Nothing happens. 

Any ideas, would appreciate it

tried holding together power button and volume down for a while?

@JohnH1 , Have you tried that but with the tablet plugged by USB into a computer? I've seen the occasional success by doing that.

 

If that doesn't work, are you able to boot the tablet into Recovery Mode and reboot the system from there? (The guide here is for a phone, but should work the same for your tablet.)

Disappointing, have phoned technical help and no success, guy had no idea.
Unfortunately my son has now purchased a Huawei and will never get a Samsung

Your Galaxy Tab A may need to be inspected by one of our engineers, @JohnH1. Are you anywhere near one of our Service Centres?

There is a service centre in Coventry but I guess with a minimum charge it might not be worth it.
Its annoying because when switched on the Samsung app was optimising 34 to39 and then blank back to buffering

Samsung repair shop said software issue cannot be mended .

Unfortunately one lost customer which is my son
