How to find HDR content on Netflix

In the main, Netflix slaps an HDR or Dolby Vision logo on its HDR-ready titles. It's a bit unhelpful that there's not yet a dedicated HDR section in the Netflix app, though this is surely coming.

Until then, you need to know which titles are supported and seek them out individually – we've listed the ones we're aware of below, with Daredevil probably the best known.

A Series of Unfortunate Events
Bloodline
Chef’s Table
Hibana
Knights of Sidonia
Marco Polo
Marvel’s Daredevil
Marvel’s Iron Fist
Marvel’s Jessica Jones
Marvel’s Luke Cage
Marvel’s The Defenders
The Do-Over
The Ridiculous Six

But you can also cut to the chase just by keying 'HDR' into the search box. That query will bring up a full list of Netflix's HDR-ready content and is the simplest way to browse all the HDR titles on Netflix at the moment.

Dear,

thank you for your kind reply but i already knew these hdr titles.

My samsung ue50ju6400 read these programs as Ultra hd 4k, not 4k.

it needs a firmware to read these movies as hdr.

You have a great day

Why do you think it will have HDR? For HDR to work it has to meet some minimum specifications. Not all 4K TVs are capable, it needs 10-bit panel. Does the ju6400 have 8-bit or 10-bit panel? Why Samsung is so secret about HDR and which models will get it I am not sure.

if you go into the advance video settings and changed the HDMI 1 to uhd it does it reports as being 2160 10 bit ?

-----------
other info to confuse even more:
UE*JU6400 models 50 and 55 inches are 10bits capable(but 8 bits with 10 bit color bit depth interpolation) with the same settings - dynamic picture mode - there was no much difference -
what u need to do is just download some hdr10 demos from Demo UHD-3D - Ultra-HD / 4K / HDR / 3D put that on fast portable hdd and connect to usb in ju6400 BUT 3.5V USB (that blue one) and dynamic picture mode and enjoy hdr10 - but only 50 and 55 inches and why samsung used different screens for those 2 models!?

BTW regarding Netflix it seems for Samsung apps it is not yet released with HDR support. So this answers question until new Netflix version is released. Also latest firmware 1471 may have broke HDR support from HDMI.

Yes it seems that Netflix for Samsung is not yet HDR ready. You have to ask Netflix support when new version will be released.
