Yes! Looks like it was a fairly simple solution. I have no idea of how it was done but all videos are now playing exclusively with the VP9 codec, including all of those which refused to play a few hours ago.
I hope this problem doesn't come back to haunt us!

Yup it is revolved but you have to hard reset your tv inorder to work. Mine in pakistan was not working without reset. It was still showing AV1 in stats. Also i changed my smart hub country to India.

I have the very same problem, the TV (UA65KS9000) will NOT play any youtube videos, it goes to load them but then it displays a "(Something went wrong) send report"
I have log out and all the other things that people have described but it still doesn't work.
It works on all other devices so Samsung please fix this problem

When I had this problem it was because of an update YouTube had pushed out. They fixed it shortly afterwards.
