Recently bought a UE50NU7475 and I am trying to use a single external 2Tb Seagate HDD to either record TV programs or use it as a Media Center (hosting movies, songs, pics,etc).
It doesn't matter how I format the HDD but the TV always forces me to format it when trying to record a TV program in it. The TV formatting system seems to make it incompatible with the computer cause I can access the HDD afterwards from the computer but I can't save any information in it . It seems like the TV formatting systems allows you to use such HDD exclusively as a recording media.
Obvious way out would be having 2 HDD but I am trying to save the hassle of having 2 extra units plugged permanently on the TV in addition to the 3 HDMI ports already in use.
Any thoughts ?
