Twitch & Samsung "smart" TV??+

Hi,

they deleted the twitch app because it wasn`t an official twitch software. I understand.

View days ago (i guess after the last samsung update) it  suddenly was working via the interenet browser.

Now it isn´t working anymore. WHY? They turned it off again, why?

It's 2020 and there is still no official Twitch app available on Samsung Smart TVs. There are so many useless apps which no one cares about but for some reason one of the most known and biggest Live-Stream platform is not availible. Absolutly unbelievable!

Please let twitch know that we need a official app for Samsung Smart TVs and that there is a high demand for it. Ty!

I did sent a lot of mails.

I didn´t knew about the Uservoice Service, thank you.

I do got a response from the Twitch Support Team but so far they have only asked me about my TV Model and OS Version of my TV. I guess it's a standard reply when it comes down to "tv apps" but maybe if they do get a lot of tickets about Samsung TVs and a missing Twitch app they will realize that there is a high demand for it.

On the other hand Samsung as a big and known brand should get involved in this and do something for their customers. It's always easy to sit back and tell people that it's not their fault that there isn't such a app yet. Imho it's their fault too as they doesn't seem to care much about it!

So I do recieved another answer from the official Twitch App Support Team and I'm going to quote it down below.

Unfortunately, the Twitch App on the Samsung TV was not officially supported by Twitch and was removed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We definitely understand the upsetting and frustrating nature of your issues. We have passed the feedback to our Developers about the demand for an official Samsung Twitch app!

It could be worse but I do think that alot of people already contacted Twitch Support before me in this regard. Anyway if more people would contact twitch support and ask for an app they will probably provide it at some point!

I guess it comes down to us endusers in this case as samsung doesn't seem to willing to help us much with it.

So if you want an official Twitch App for Tizen OS (asap) contact twitch support and tell your friends with Samsung Smart TVs (Tizen OS) to do the same.
