Trouble connecting to internet

Hi All,


I have a Samsung UE55ES8000UXXU smart TV and for the past five years everything has been fine.

I've been connecting to the internet via power line adaptors. We changed internet providers (to Sky) two months ago, and everything switched seamlessly. The TV continued to access the internet through the power line adaptors.


Just before the weekend, I tried to change a setting on a Bose smart speaker and now none of the 4 power line adapters in the house work, including the one the TV uses to access the internet.


I've tried to access the internet wirelessly but the TV won't pick up any wireless even though my phone has full signal and 50mbs connectivity.


Is there anything I can try to connect again? I was thinking of trying new power line adaptors but the fact they all stopped working at the same time tells me they're not the issue.

Are you still having issues with this? If so, could you please check what software version the TV is on? Please could you confirm the current firmware version your TV is running? You can find the information in Menu > Support > Contact Samsung.

As you rightly pointed out, if the issue is present with all power line adapters, then it's no use changing them.

Is it possible for you to try connecting to the internet by setting up a hot spot on your phone? Try re-booting your Wi-Fi router and try connecting again.

If none of the above helps, please perform a Factory reset as there may be some settings that have gone awry. To perform this, head to: Menu > Support > Self Diagnosis > Reset. This will reset your TV settings, so be prepared for this. Alternatively, give our TV Specialists a call to see if there is anything they can advise. They can be reached on: 0333 000 0333.
