TV restarts when switching sources- Please Help!!

Hello! 

I've got a 55" UN55D7000 that is currently unusable on any source do to it auto restarting. I cannot even use the smart hub because of the same. Any suggestions on things I can troubleshoot? I was thinking possible updating the firmware but would have to do it to a usb. When I tried downloading it in online mode the tv restarted itself and now the upgrade software is greyed out and I cannot go back to it. Help!!!

I'm a genius! My boyfriend has gone over a year using a little rinky tv because he couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. Just in case anyone is having a similar issue, the firmware upgrade solved the issue it seems. At least for the moment!
