TV makes clicking sound when turned off & plugged in

Hi,

I got a used UE50JU6800 TV yesterday, I have noticed that it makes a noticeable clicking sound constantly (several clicks per second) when plugged in but switched off. The noise stops when the TV is on or when the power is unplugged. So the sound isn't mechanical settling which seems to be the usual cause of clicking sounds.

Any ideas as to what this is and how I could fix it? It's worrying me a bit that it makes this sound, I don't want it to short circuit or anything

have you ever tried to completely unplug the TV 2 minutes to see if it persists

Yep I've tried that, it stops immediately when unplugged (or turned on) and starts immediately when plugged in. Left it unplugged overnight

it can be the electrical connection or the socket !!

Hi @bnenenen. You don't happen to have the protective film still attached to the frame do you?
