Hi there,

My Samsung TV has been displaying a solarised/negative picture.

In an attempt to resolve the issue I tried to check and change the DDR setting.

Instead the DIMM TYPE setting got changed (INT>EXT) and the display went completely black. The LED is responsive when I press buttons on the remote but nothing appears on the screen.

Any ideas how to help would be massively appreciated.

Thank you :smiling-face:

Hey there, CD93. :smileyhappy:

What's the model code of your TV?

I have the exact same problem, including the color issue.

I saw this tutorial for fixing the issue:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1bg9qP_qic

In which the guy restored the colors by changing the 'DDR' setting in the service menu to 'Samsung'.

Anyway, trying to follow his advice I couldn't find 'DDR', but I though for a moment that the 'DIMM' [Dual in-line memory module as I understand] option might refer to the same thing, so I changed it [int to ext, or vice versa, not sure], and now the TV doesn't turn on at all. Only red LED comes temporarily off for a few seconds when switching on, exactly as the person above described.

My TV model is LE40A450C2XXC

Hi @RufusThomas.

We'd suggest having a word with one of our Audio-Visual specialists regarding this. You can contact them on the number found here: http://www.samsung.com/uk/info/contactus/
