Hi, I have recently purchased a new SUHD curved tv and Samsung sound bar, with subwoofer.
for some reason the surround sound icon will not go away. It's half way up the screen on the left hand side.
the surround sounds works fine, universal Samsung remote operates it perfect aswell. Even when I unplug the sound bar the icon is still there.
I have also tried resetting the tv and it won't go away.
Its driving me mad so any help is much appreciated
thanks

The only fix of all suggestions that worked was pull power wait 30 seconds and reboot

Don't know about surround sound, but on TV go to Menu, Settings, Volume and Okay. If that doesn't work, shoot your TV. (Just kidding).

This worked. Sometimes have to remember my basic computer troubleshooting skills and apply them to TVs. A good unplug, wait and restart solves a lot more problems than it should.

How to get rid of 'speaker with volume number' icon on LHS of picture on Samsung Smart TV?

Use your remote that came with the tv. Hit the home
button and toggle to the settings icon. Select the tv audio. Then go back to the same place and select the sound bar audio. That will reset the annoying audio icon that doesn’t disappear.

Unplug power from wall. Plug back in.
