Smart tv microphone not working.

The microphone button shows a message such as “mic is on” ot “I’m all ears” but does not execute any commands.  This is the first time we have had this problem.  Otherwise smart remote works.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have a Samsung six series 40 inch TV. When I press the microphone  button on the remote, It no longer works. It worked for the first two months and then just stopped working. Any thoughts?

Have you both tried re-pairing your Smart Remotes?

And the answer is there is a teeny tiny switch on the bottom of the tv set. there is a samsung emblem and the switch is on the bottom of that emblem switch it on and now the microphone on the remote works.
