Smart remote voice control not working

Hi, 

my universal remote "rmcspk1ap1" has recently stopped working in the voice control.

no matter what you command it instantly comes up with "I did not recognise what you said".

 

everything else with the remote works fine, I have replaced the batteries etc but still no luck 

 

any help appreciated

You would be correct AntS. The problem has only occurred while using the web browser. My model no. is UN55MU6300, and the software version at that time was 1123.

My remote stopped working today also. I have had the TV for only 5 days. Same exact problem.

Hi @carolellogram2.

 

What model TV do you have? And are you able to get into the settings to tell us what the current software version on it is?  (Settings/Menu > Support > Contact Samsung/About This TV)

Hello,

 
I ended up calling for support. This was the solution to the problem in the end. We tried several things. This information may help others with the same problem. 
 
1. I unplugged the TV and waited one minute. I held down the curved arrow button and the color dot button simultaneously until the red light stopped blinking. 
 
2. I plugged in and turned on the power to the  TV.
 
3. I had to take the batteries out of the remote, and then put them back in. 
 
4.  Now I had to go to the settings on the TV screen and find and  select RESET.
 
5. I had to select "restore the TV to the originally factory settings." 
 
6. I followed the onscreen directions for connecting/pairing  the remote to the TV .
 
7. Finally it was successful and for now it is working again. (but it does not recognize the channels by name now)

I own a UE49MU6102 model. During the past few days when i perform most voice commands (especially "channel X", "volume commands", what time is it" etc) that used to work, it now opens a new window with suggested search results with youtube videos. (Even for general questions, it used to bring google results, not Youtube!!!)


I have tried everything (even Settings/General/Start Setup), keeping the channel settings though) but still have not managed to resolve the issue, which is really annoying..

 

I also re-installed Youtube (it cannot be removed), but the problem remained...

 

Any ideas?

my tv does not change to the channel voice command.   I worked earlier  Did I do something??  Whats wrong??

I have the the same problem... I called samsung support and they said it is a problem for the whole MU references, so, they are working on some sofware updates to solve the problem.

 

The problem is known since 3 months ago and they have not solved it yet, so there is a lot of uncertaintity in the exact date to solve our problem.

 

They should not sell this references if they have that problem, this is an abuse for customers.

 

Let's see.
