Smart Remote Issue Un-commanded signals

I have a Samsung Smart remote and it seems to send uncommanded signals. When I turn on the TV, after about 5 seconds a small menu appears on the bottom of the screen giving options to "power off" "channel up" etc. It automatically selects power off even though I have not pressed the power button, or even touched the remote control. The TV is paired with an Apple TV and a Sonos sounds system.

This is very fustrating as I have to be quick to try and select and different option from the uncommanded popup menu so the TV does not automatically turn off.

Desparately seeking a solution!!!

What's the model code and software version of your TV please? Go to Menu > Support > Contact Samsung, or alternatively for newer versions, Home > Settings > Support > About This TV.
