I’m having trouble with using my PS4 Pro in HDR mode.
As soon as a game enables HDR colour, the colour output of the Playstation gets very washed out.
Rich reds become pinkish and blues become pale.
4K output from the PS4 Pro is fine - it's just when a game enables the HDR i get the colour issue.
Are there known issues with the Samsung Serif TVs and PS4 Pro?
If i go into the PS4 Video Output Information when in HDR mode, it always says the colour format is YUV422, regardless of whether i set Resolution in the Video Output Settings to Automatic or 2160p RGB.
Is it the YUV422 output that washes out colours when in HDR mode?
Is this normal or should it stay in RGB when i'm HDR mode?
These are the settings i'm using on my Serif TV...
- Picture Mode set to Game
- Backlight 20, Contrast 90, Brightness 45, Sharpness 0, Color 50
- HDMI UHD Colour turned On for all HDMI inputs
- HDMI Black Level set to Low
- All post processing effects Off
I've attached some photos of my screen in normal (bluer) and HDR mode (paler).
And here's a video of the same thing on YouTube
Thanks in advance for any help / advice.

Hi @Ribrob.
We're unable to comment on your Playstation's performance, however, we've sent a screenshot of the UE40LS001A
As long as you have the PS4 connected to HDMI (STB/DVI) socket you can change the output of the PS4 to RGB. We'd also suggest contacting Sony if you need any further support with this.
Hope this helps! :cathappy:

The problem is that the UK version of the Samsung Serif does not support HDR apparently.
Nice to know such an expensive television is already behind the times.
