Samsung 7000 Series TV - Dark panel on Screen

I purchased a model UN65MU7000 Samsung 65” TV around 18 months ago.  I have really enjoyed my TV up until this point, but  I now have a dark panel a quarter of the screen from top to bottom.  I cannot help but notice the dark panel in the TV, it’s annoying. I thought that by spending as much as I did ($1400) the TV would last longer than 18 months. Does anyone know of a solution? I like my sumsung TVs ( 65” and a 55”), but lasting less than 2 years is ridiculous. If there is not a simple solution or the TV is not repairable it will be the last Samsung product I purchase.

@Jhack78: Sorry to hear that you're having issues with your TV. If you go to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Start Picture Test, is the issue visible during the test, or do you get any error or 'fail' messages?

Andrew, yes, the issue is still visible in the picture tests. I get a message to contact the Samsung call center.

I spoke with the Samsung call center. A technician is scheduled to come to my home.
