Hi a random horizontal black line has appeared across the front my 1 yr old Samsung QE55Q7FAM 55" 4K Ultra HD HDR Smart QLED TV. Can you advise on any fixes?! It wasn’t there 5 minutes ago

Hi, looking at this and also the "horizontal line on my Qled 55" message room, it looks like the horizontal line issues is a known product fault that should be covered by more assistant from Samsung beyond the warranty. I now have the same issue, and have only been informed to carry the cost of engineer and repairs. This is not acceptable.

@Eutectoid: I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue. If the line in present on all channels and sources then please head to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test. If the line is visible in the sample image then please reach out to our Help Desk via the link below, and an advisor will be able to assist you further, and arrange for the TV to be inspected.

If the TV is over 12 months old, then you can reach out to one of our Support Centres directly to arrange an out of warranty repair. To find your nearest one please check the link below, select 'TV & AV > Television' and enter your post code.

Uhm, that was so funny! I'm from Hungary, so here my answer:

I walked to the factory service center where I was informed of this common fault, the resin dries out at the ribbon cable, so the contacts do not get in contact. Many devices are introduced, most of which improve on the go because the back cover is pressed. The error comes over time, doesn't it happen to be an unplanned obsolescence, does it? Repairing it would cost more than a new device. 😕
