Problem with setting Ambient Mode on Q8

When I'm taking a picture of the surround of the TV with the SmartThings app, the picture always has lines down it. I think it is picking up the shadow the TV casts on the wall down one side. I have tried the basic set up, but it doesn't get the colour correct and is looks just as bad.

An easy fix for this would be if we could have an option to just take a picture of blank space of wall with flat lighting, then upload that picture to the TV.
