Good afternoon all,

Looking for some advice regarding my TV (UE65KU6000).

When having dark scenes or even light scenes there tends to be just a really bad picture, it's as if it's a low quality video file i'm playing, especially dark boxes/squares.

Have uploaded some pictures for an example, i've changed the HDMI cable and tried it on my other Samsung TV and have no issue, so can't be the HDMI.

I'm watching on my Sky Q box, have also noticed it on Netflix too.

Any help would be appreciated.

These are from me viewing the snooker on BBC 2 HD now.

Hey @MaggyMay ,

I would be happy to have a look into this with you. Is this only happening on Netflix and Sky Q Box? I can also see that the latest software version for your TV is:1241.5. Is TV currently running on this one? You can check this from Settings> Support> Contact Samsung/About this TV.

Hi Tess,

Yes i have the latest software installed, i have noticed this when viewing on my Sky Q box & Netflix, anything that plays video if i'm honest, i play films of a USB that i connect to the side of the TV and it's the same for a film when a dark scene appears.

Thanks for your soon reply @MaggyMay !

Have you tried to screen mirroring your phone to see if the issue persist with the content played from there? If not, can you try this and let me know how that goes?

You can find how to do this here.

Every looks fine and clear when mirroring to my S7 Edge.

I've found a solution sort of... I looked at what people are using for their picture settings and have lowered the brightness to 0 and the backlight to 17 and can't see anything like what's in the pictures but unfortunately now the picture looks really dark.

Thanks for giving this a try @MaggyMay . If you'd like you can give one of our AV Specialist a call on:

0333 000 0333 to see if they can provide you with any other troubleshooting steps or settings to try to fix this without having really dark images.

Hope this helps.

I don't mean to sound rude, but it's absolutely useless trying to get anything across via that number, every person i've spoke to barely speaks any English.
