New firmware 1233 for 2016 models

The new 2016 TV firmware version has been released. I think it's absurd after the 1239 firmware was released in Italy. I ask those who don't have the 1239 version to try to install the 1233 to understand what the 1233 has different than the 1239. For 1239 users it's impossible to update firmware tv to 1233.

Well until someone tests 1233 we don't know.  We have Samsung UK saying 1233 doesn't have HLG and Samsung Italy saying it does - another fine Samsung mess!

Logically though, I cannot see why they would release 1233 with HLG, what would the point be? - it's already there with 1239.1.  I can though see the logic of releasing 1233 with app enhancements to "catch up with 1239.1, which has them according to Samsung UK.

We won't know for sure though until a 1231 user upgrades to 1233 and reports back.  I'm not going to hold my breath on this as true enthusiasts have already upgraded to 1239.1 (and blocked from 1233) and others won't be reading this thread and/or looking at the firmware download site.

Unsubstantiated Saverio - let us not argue this to death between us - we should be asking Samsung to comment. 

For the record 1239.1 is the latest firmware for my 65" KS9500 and I guess the next release will be 1240 or higher.

In Italy 1233 have HLG on HDMI ports.

I have 1231 in Greece and I am just asking if the 1233 version has still dts and avi because I need them.

What the **** are Samsung playing at. They've removed the DTS codec in this firmware 1233. 

Fair enough with the 2018-2019 models they warned us but why remove it from the older ones. Both my TVs upgraded automatically and I've now lost the ability to have DTS sound. 

Samsung what are you playing at. Bring it back
