KS Owners refund

I would firstly like to say a massive massive thank you to Paul1277 for bringing this up and providing the information required.

 

Here is my experience:

 

So I am a fellow Richsounds customer (thankfully) and honestly couldn’t rate the service highly enough. 

 

I used the Which Tool and also used http://archive.org/web/ to find the page roughly around the time of when I bought it (April 2017) just so I had some evidence but it was never required.

 

I then emailed the letter that the which tool provided me via email and sent it to Richer Sounds customer service (link can be found on the website). Once I done this I received an email back the following morning to say that my email has been passed onto to someone else within the business. 24 hours later I received an email from a guy called Paul askin what TV I would like it exchanged to as he could certainly be able to get a full credit refund on my TV and if I was available to go and pick it up at my local store.

 

Like a lot on here, I chose the LG B7V. I then received a phone call a couple of hours later  to say that he has arranged with the Bath store (my local) to take in my TV and that he has also reserved a B7V which would be available as soon as I could get there that day if I wanted. The rest is pretty self explanatory, I went there and they swapped it no problems and it even came with a new 6 year warranty.

 

As far as the new TV goes. I honestly could not be happier with the switch to OLED. It has incredible picture, it is a lot quicker and even gaming on it is superior to the KS8000 which I was sceptical about as the KS series did do that well. The most important thing for a lot on here tho is that I can confirm that it plays every type of HDR I have chucked at it and all in time for the World Cup. 

 

So for all thise debating to try to try and get a refund, stop hesitating and take in the advice from Paul and others and just go ahead with it. What have you got to lose?

I just heard back from Richer Sounds after telling them I had the scheduled recording issue and was disappointed about Samsung going back on the HLG support promise. They said they are aware that Samsung have "changed the goalposts" and immediately offered full credit towards another TV, couldn't be happier with their response.

Another successful response and well done. Please spread you success everywhere you can think of to show other owners how easy it is. Especially AV Forums on their ks owners forum, and Facebook twitter and anywhere else.

Hi Paul. The post fell foul of the spam auto-filter and ended up in the Spam Quarantine. We’ve restored it now.

 

We don’t delete anything unless it contravenes the Community Terms; is clearly spam; constitutes complete derailment of a thread; or upon the poster's request.

 

If there's posts which have mysteriously gone missing for any of you guys in any thread, definitely let us mods know, as the posts more than likely have just fallen into the Spam area - and we’ll check and fish stuff back out for you. :robothappy:

Can someone post the full Which template I could maybe use please?

 

I got the KS8000 from JL in April 2017 expecting the proper supported formats and options to be available, and I won't be able to watch the World Cup in HLG on BBC iPlayer. I'm really upset.

rosscouk, any chance I can borrow and edit your letter draft to JL? I'm in the exact same boat but with the 55" from JL.

Its on the first or second page of this thread a also reposted a couple of days ago.  If you just look back you will find it

 Also look back a few more days and you will a member has a alternative resolution result against Richer Sounds that you could also quote.
