I submitted my request to Richer Sounds last night. The contact form appears to give no confirmation, so I'll have to wait 14 days without knowing if the form submitted. I probably should have found an email address to send to instead.

Not sure if it'll be different because I bought in store, rather than online. I hope the Richer Sounds web page snapshot is enough.

Did you guys pay the difference to upgrade to a B7, or was it a straight swap? The former seems more likely to me, but some of the phrasing indicated the latter!

Do no harm to also send a copy to their customer services. Because you bought from the store they may ask you to deal with the store,  which is not a problem as they will still ask their head office. The web page is proof of misrepresentation and it looks like they are not contesting peoples claims as we have seen.

I think people are paying the difference but the b7 has come down in price due to the c8.

Let us know how you get on,

Good luck

Very interested to hear your impressions of the B7, as I have a claim with Richer Sounds and would like to exchange with the B7.

Yes paid the extra for the LG, it’s due to be deleivered today, but I’m now having second thoughts after hearing about issues with burn in and dead pixels.

I've heard good reports about it from people here who have exchanged. The advice is to not pull the plug at night and not leave a picture on for hours.

When did you start your claim,  and can you let us know how you get on,  thanks.

Dead pixels? havent heard of anything specifc to OLED and as for birn in, it is non-issue as long as you follow guidelines

Keep, pixel refreshed on and do not unpluhg the telly from mains so that automatic compensation cycles run

Have one for nearly 6 months lots of gaming, my somn plays FH3, logo city undercover and FIFA17/8 no issues so far

I purchased mine in store and it was not an issue when I complained. As that feature was advertised on their website it influensed your decision to buy it, whether that was online or instore.

Remember your entitled to at least a full refund. If the B7 is slightly more expensive than what you paid for your Samsung you should still be able to get a straight swap. They would rather exchange TVs than give you a full refund as it probably works out cheaper for them and they don't want you taking your money and spending it else where.

If your worried about burn-in I have to say that I have it on Sky Sports news for most of the day and have seen no issue. Just make sure you keep it on stand by. If you can afford it by it from Currys and get thier extended warranty as it covers burn-in; this is what I did.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll try and send the same thing to customer services (I've found the store email).

I was also worried about burn in, but mine will be left on standby and it sounds like they have countermeasures to prevent it. That's if it all goes through and I can get the replacement. Sounds like it's 50/50 as to whether it'll be a straight exchange or a paid upgrade (my 49" KS was a chunk less than the B7).

What I would say is don't pay the exact difference amount; they should be able to reduce the cost of the B7 by a bit. Have a shop around and see if there are other places doing it cheaper; you can try to get them to price match or just take the money and buy it there. Play hard ball, the last thing they want is you taking the money and spending it else where.

I tried that tool, and when prompted about have I asked the retailer to replace or repair and if I click no it  tells me that the remedies are to ask for repair or replace. When i click 'yes' for the previous question it tells me I can only get a partial refund; I assume that this is due to me clicking the 'between 6 months and 6 years' for how long ago did I take ownership.
