Horizontal lines on half of the picture

Hi,

I have a LE40D580 and it has developed some horizontal lines abouth halof the picture.

I doesnt matter which source is used.

Any idea whats wrong.  ANd typical its out of warranty, is it worth getting it fixed ?  If its a board could i do this myself.

Do the lines appear on the Picture Test too? Menu > Support > Self Diagnosis.

Yes it does, and on all sources

Thanks. Definitely sounds like a hardware issue then. Difficult to say exactly what needs to be fixed though. You could get in touch with your nearest approved TV Service Centre for their take on it.
