Getting message about timeshift

Hi, the model of tv is ue43j5600akxxu. I keep on getting the message about rec/timeshify not working due to device that’s connected. I do not have anything connected at all and I have checked the software and there is no new updates ota. This is also having an affect on the tv remote too. Just doesn’t seem to work at times or it’s really slow. I have even bought a new remote and changed batteries but no joy. On the ir sensor it seems that the light is constantly flashing as though the remote is constantly being pressed. As mentioned this is the second official Samsung remote that it’s happened to.

Hi @Cj6320. Can you confirm the software version you're running is 1530.1?

I have 1530. The auto updates is on and I have rescanned for updates but claims there is none.

Thanks @Cj6320. You don't happen to have a USB stick or hard drive connected do you?

There is nothing connected to the tv. As I look at the ir receiver on tv, it is constantly flashing. I have removed batteries from remote and the message and flashing has stopped.

We had a similar problem last year too, to which we got a new remote.
