Delete old users tv account

Hello all

can anyone assist please 

ive recently purchased a used ks8000tv from a user,

he has forgot his details & now won’t respond to my messages?..

i’m trying To delete his Samsung user account on the tv

i can see that I can add my original Sam account, should I do this or do I really need to delete the previous owners account// I have also tried to reset pin with no joy also

assistance appreciated

Hi james

changed pin successfully with smart remote

tried many attempts with standard remote but no joy

1st time with smart remote, big thnx

ref: the users acc ,ive just added my own

very grateful for yours & everyones replies

Don't worry Mr @Galafootball  and you are welcome to the EU Community, it will better to delete old account if TV let us, and insert the real owner account that you are.

 

You can try to restore to default values, and check if account disappear if not try to force to delete. 

 

It will be better to wait to a specialist to confirm you all possibles step correctly, you will have news shortly and as soon someone can assist you since tomorrow, they will write you in this thread to ask you some questions or tell you some options.

Hi @Galafootball If no joy with default pin of 0000,  It is  easier  to reset  with the standard Remote   Press Mute>8>2>4>Power Reset Pin  some info for Smart Remote here  though http://hardmasterreset.com/reset-pin-code-samsung-smart-tv/      Obviously you can set up new account, to delete previous owner's account though you would need to know  the password though.  Whilst can reset password would need some details https://account.samsung.com/accounts/v1/MBR/resetPassword   Information here https://www.samsung.com/in/support/tv-audio-video/how-to-delete-a-samsung-account-from-samsung-smart...

Hi @Galafootball  you need to do it quickly, may take few attempts. 
 
Or on smart Remote if you have one:
 
  • Turn On Your Samsung TV
  • Press this variation keys: (one by one)

    pin touch control reset

    with + and -  buttons being the volume keys  (more detail in link in previous post)
