I have a Samsung UE32J5100AK flat screen TV. What I am wondering is it possible to connect the audio output from this TV to my Hi Fi system for a better sound quality. The only outputs on the TV are one with a mini jack socket for headphones and a Digital audo out (optical) socket. On the back of my hifi amplifier is are the usual analogue inputs.
Can what I want to do be done and if possible, how? I appreciate that if I get a newer amplifier with optical input I could do it but cannot afford a new one at the moment.
Can anyone help with suggestion/info? Any help will be appreciated.
