Hello,

I have samung tv UE43NU7192, and this is the issue that I face. I managed to connect my 2.1 pc speakers (that can only handle 3.5 jack and RCA cable) with my tv, through a digital-to-analog audio converter with an optical cable. Now, the thing is that the sound ALWAYS come from the 2.1 speakers. This means that:

  • In my tv settings, when I choose audio output "optical", the sound comes normally through my 2.1 speakers
  • When I choose TV speakers, the sound come from TV speakers AND my 2.1 pc speakers, simultaneously.

Any ideas??

Thanks!

Exactly the same happens with my UN50MU6103, with a similar connection (a set of 2 Edifier speakers with a digital-to-analog audio converter). The external speakers are always ON, even though TV speaker option is selected.

Were you able to solve it?
