Why do Samsung-TVs send ARP-requests every 2 seconds to their default gateway?

That is at least bad programming.

Testet with UE40H6270 and an UE49KS7590 connected over WiFi to a access point and to a linux server as router.

I have observed the same behaviour checking my home network traffic with Wireshark... :thinking-face:

I just noticed the same. Probably will just disable the wifi on TV, as I use the "smart" TV functions very rarely anyway.

I deactivated WiFi too. Spamming ARP packets into a network is high risk stuff from a security point of view. It tells us that these TV's are as high secure products as every cheap chinese Bluetooth gadget. Network should be deactivated.

The professional response from Samsung in that case confirms this. For those who didn't get it - there was no response or at least I have not seen it.
