Why only 12 month warranty with 4k TVs ?

My TV has failed and now the top half is dark. Started with small white circles and it's a common fault. Spent almost £1000 on a worthless TV just over two years ago

If you show it is a known fault then under the 2015 European Consumer law you can request a free repair for upto 6 years. If it ca not be repaired you can ask for a partial refund. It is the retailer who is responsibe, but you need Samsung to admit that they know of the fault or you can show that it is a know fault with the TV.
