Looking to buy a new TV as mine is 8 years old but don't want to just turn up at Currys in and be sold any old Samsung. I also may consider a projector screen but would need to be awesome not like the Epson one i had 10 years ago lol

Hi,
if you are looking to buy a 65 inch TV I recommend a QLED, it is available in 65 inches in flat formet and curved with 3 series available Q7, Q8, Q9

I would agree that the Q series (7-9) will give you a better experience and is the premium Samsung range in QLED (though personally don't have experience of this range) In the mid range MU series they are LCD plus LED backlight (compared to quantum Dot) and the Q will be punchier . Depends on your budget but if considering MU would better to look at 7000 and above models. Those with Q models may be able to advise, however in any case I would check reviews to give you an idea. I'll include some info here ,though Rtings considers MU9000 to be comparable to some Q models. https://www.techradar.com/news/best-samsung-tv
I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Please do me a favour ans dont buy a Samsung. There are too many bugs in the actual series. I own a QE55Q7F and i have red lightnings in Gaming mode, white lightnings in hdr and hdr+mode. Pictures are not sharp while picture is moving and there are frame mistakes. That means that the whole display flickers in green, red, cyan, magenta or white for one frame.
I am discussing with several guys in the german Samsung forum about this things and Samsung cannot fix the problem.
So please look for another brand.
belongs to MU-Serie Q -Serie and K-serie

Sadly I can also confirm all the issues stated there are present in the recent firmware for Samsung Tv's.
