Freeview uk on smart tv question...

Hello.

I have a newish ks9000 smart tv.

I'm told it had two freeview tuners.

When I go to auto tune and scan terrestrial / digital it only finds 4 garbage paytoview trailer channels.

I have messed around with various scans with always the same results.

I cannot find and channels at all.

My ks9000 is wired and wireless connected to my virgin hub and clearly receives digital and has the internet.

I do have an aerial and a cable connection elsewhere in the house but neither are wired to this primary tv.  I'm told for freeview I only needed Wi-Fi which it has.

I'd manually tune it if I knew the frequencies....

I've googled everything and it's all confusing double talk.

Please help.  What am I doing wrong?

Had exactly the same problem on both of my Samsung TVs, never been able to tune freeview on either. Absolutely useless!

Hi, we have just moved into a new development and the developer has not connected us up to the main aerial, only virgin wi-fi, I thought that this is all we needed to get freeview as we only got the broadband package, but reading your messages it looks like I will need to buy one of these HD antena things anyway, do I need to get them to connect me to the main physical aerial at all, or do I just get one of these gadgets and thats the answer?

Hi @Wthomas41  pretty sure the UE40JU6000K has Freeview built in, though does not seem to be specifically listed in the specifications.   Know Family had a 2013 Samsung  model and that included Freeview.  https://www.freeview.co.uk/help/equipment  https://www.freeview.co.uk/help/retune-samsung-tv
