Backlight goes up and down rhythmically

Okay so this just started happening.

Every 2 seconds or so it's like the screen turns the backlight up and down again.

Here is a link to a video showing the problem:

It is really subtle but worse IRL than on the video.

It is most pronounced on the left side i think but also visible on the right. Not much in the center.

I have tried to Google it but couldn't find anything relevant, but I might not be searching for the right thing since English is my second language and I don't know what to call this issue.

Hopefully someone can help.

The TV is a Samsung UE55KS7005 and it happens on all apps and hdmi sources.

Could you tell us the current software of your TV? Go to Home > Settings > Support > Contact Samsung.

Experiencing this same issue for months now. Did you ever find a resolution?

(My software version is 1241)

It was still under warranty so I sent it back and they replaced the panel. Haven’t had any issues since.
