S8 smart view not working

Hi

 

Trying to get my phone to connect to my series 6 tv but after I've updated my phone it will not allow a connection. It worked perfectly before I updated my phone. The phone recognises the tv and tries to connect but it fails everytime. I do this through the smart view option on the pull down menu, nothing through Wi-Fi. Anyone have any solutions or had similar problems?

Just an update...

 

I've updated the software on my tv, now smart view works. Tried it on my other series 6 tv just incase this was a fluke, and this also worked. Guessing the new phone app doesn't like the older tv software.

I am experiencing the exact same problem. As soon as i did the update its not working anymore. It connects for a few minutes then disconnects, but most time will not even connect to the tv. Please help. I use this everyday.

Just an update...

I'm having the same problem I have the series 6 55 inch and the latest update for mine is 1151 can you let me know if that's the same version as yours

Hi.

 

My update version is 1208. I only updated it yesterday so might be worth checking again. 

 

Model number of my tv is UE55KU6500. Not sure if that helps or not

Ok I'll give it a couple of days.
I have the UE55MU6120 so it might take a few extra days hopefully they bring out an update or even fix the update on the phone.

@Catamelia: Update 1210.8 is available for download for your TV, so if you've got a spare USB stick knocking around you'll be able to update. :robothappy:

 

Check out the Downloads on your TV's Support page here, and follow the guidance for updating by USB stick.

I have ks9000 and s7edge .

Fully updated.

Native Smart view no longer works.

I have found no solution and samsung haven't offered one.

Any ideas ....?
