it would auto-rotate in earlier versions, but stopped auto-rotating after Version 2.x.

this is not a misconfiguration issue and Samsung support is clueless and evasive.

Unrelated question:

the Samsung Members app is used in Canada, Europe and Asia IIRC... 

Are those regions served by the same support call centre?   For instance, emails, phone calls, feedback, etc.

In the USA they use the Samsung+ app, which I installed allowing me to join their communitu.

Each region has their own specific call centres. It's usually more country based than continent based however.
