I have the new Galaxy watch, received on 7th September and after 1 recorded exercise the heart rate monitor is flatlining after 10 minutes.

I am annoyed as I want to keep track of my heart rate during exercise. I also wonder if this effects the calories burned if it cannot record the heart rate correctly.

This appears to be a common theme for Samsung watches as my husbands S3 did the same, purchased Sept 2017, at the beginning of the year.

I have tried S Health, Strava and Endomondo none of them gives a good heart rate reading.

If you're returning it for a replacement, I dont think it'll make any difference as I think it's a design/software fault

If for another brand of watch, then fair enough. Shame though as you'd want one you can link to your phone..etc

It is confirmed that it's a software (so it should be fixable) or a hardware problem?

I dont think there's anything official. However, with so so soooo many people having the same issue it has to be software/design flaw

Tired waiting for a new update, is this a hardware issue with the hr?

Can a moderator confirm if it will be fixed in a new update?

Same problem, so the watch is pretty much useless. This is the last Samsung device for me.

Similar issues myself. What has improved it drastically, but not always entirely, has been to wear the watch on the INSIDE of my wrist, by which I mean so the face of the watch is on the inside of your wrist where you would read someone's pulse with two fingers. The veins are closest to the surface here.

I also wear it extremely tightly.

See the graph from tonight's nearly one hour walk at a fast pace attached.Screenshot_20190115-234835_Samsung Health.jpg

I am surprised to see that SAMSUNG is doing nothing to correct this issue. infact they are not even replying to the email I sent. We all should put it aggressively on social media to make Samsung move on it.

Although the HR always on, the LEDs stopped flashing for several hours and got these reedings.

Any news regarding a new update?

I'm disappointed
