I’m absolutely loving my new watch, but today was the first time that I attempted to track my workout at the gym. Although it tracked the duration of the workout the calorie count is way off. For a 45 minute spin class, it registered that I had burnt 45 calories! I have used a number of different activity trackers and this activity usually tracks in excess of 300 calories. Am I doing something wrong?

yep just used my Samsung watch active for the first time at RPM Class and the calorie reading is way off like 6 times. Like you, I have used another device and I was never under 600cals and usually close to 700 cals but today on Samsung only 142 cals. Not to mention I have to charge it twice a day - not happy
Heart Rate monitor seems to be working just fine same as other device
Did you get your watch sorted

I'm still having the problem and it's 2020!. I just did a 40minute HIIT class and the watch has registed nothing. I stopped a few times to try and manually start the work out but the watch only had options for yoga, running, cycling and swimming. My heart rate muts have been up around 120/130 but no. It thinks i'm at my desk. this watch is rubbish. Get a Fit bit.

Polar Ignite is what you need in my humble opinion. Amazing watch for fitness, sleep & general health. It has something called Fitspark, this bascially works by culculating your nervous sytem and sleep recovery overnight and then providing 4 different workouts each day on the watch itself.
Depending on how you slept it can be anything from cardio, strength, stretches or HIIT, after you have done it you rate it as easy/hard etc etc. It then calculates that + sleep into your next workout. Brilliant.
Ive been using since binning the GW in November 19 after 13 months of frustration, totaly transformed the way I nook at my fitness & sleep.
Cheers
