Whilst the headline may seem a bit dramatic , just notice that the support for Windows 7 has now ended (for anyone affected ). Whilst indication was given some time ago may be some who have not updated and users advised to upgrade to Windows 10. Whilst Windows 8 a possibility thought not a viable option for much longer. Of course an alternative is the Linux system though some applications will not be available on that platform. Business can pay for continued support but really not a long term strategy.
