Hello, I have UPS coming to collect my S8 on Friday 20th due to a screen burn issue however i was wondering do i need to put my phone in a box or do i hand the phone and charger to them and do they box it up, samsung support made it unclear,

I wouldn't think they'll need the charger @jackandrews 

That and remove your sim card and any relevant Sd Card.

Create your back ups as they'll possibly flash the phone which can delete your info.

I use Samsung Cloud and Dropbox.

Log out of your various accounts in the phone.

Screenshot anything that you can't loose like text messages etc.

If this was my phone I'd wrap it up well to stop any transit damage perhaps in bubble wrap and a plain box.

I like to resell my phones so wouldn't want the original retail box being lost.

Also take time and date stamped pictures of the phone to show it's current aesthetic condition and one of it turned On to show it works.

@jackandrews: The courier will provide all the relevant packaging, so no need to box the phone up yourself. As you're addressing a screen burn issue the charger won't be required. Hope this helps.
