A5/A7 2017 were released with an outdated 6.0.1 marshmallow while other phones released at the same time were running nougat.

Samsung claims that it gives A series phones 2 major updates but this was not technically 2 major updates because they were released with an outdated os version an unfair update policy for the A5/A7 2017 users,we consider this cheating!

Phones that were released in the same time as A5/A7 2017 but they were running nougat

LG K10 (2017),LG K8 2017,Huawei P8 Lite (2017),Nokia 6,Honor 8 Lite,LG Aristo,Huawei Mate 9 Pro,OnePlus 3T, HTC U Ultra,Asus Zenfone 3s Max,ZTE Blade V8.

The third major operating system (OS) upgrade of Samsung Electronics mid-range smartphone 'Galaxy A7 (2017)' was confirmed.

According to the related industry on April 9, Samsung Electronics will launch a one-UI beta program for Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) to experience new Galaxy UX and Android 9.0 pie through Samsung members.

Generally, Samsung Electronics provides operating system (OS) updates for two years. The Galaxy A7 (2017), launched in July 2017, has been upgraded since the launch, and Android has been upgraded to Android Oreo.

On the 10th of last month, it was observed that 'Galaxy A7 (2017)', which is equipped with Android 9.0 pie, passed the Wi-Fi certification and the third OS update is imminent.

Meanwhile, the official release of 'Galaxy A7 (2017)' Android pie is expected to be released by the next month at the latest.
But what about the a3 and a5 from 2017? They too came with the outdated marshmallow.

And what about the a8 (2018)? It came with the outdated Android 7 too, so, in justice, it should receive the Android Q.
There is nothing about a5 2017 ... only a7 2017 ... a3 has a lower hardware .. a5 maybe will get pie in next months .. a7 battery is great than a5

The only reason why A7 have a bigger battery is because the screen is larger, thus the battery needs to compensate for it by giving more power. The A5 and The A7 are completely the same. Only A7 is bigger. The battery life of those two phones is the same.

Man... I really want the update to come on A5 2017. They are giving it on the A7, so just cross your fingers.

Seriously guys, you do NOT want this battery guzzling monstrosity of an update. People are reverting back to the previous one whenever they can for a reason.
