No sound on Bluetooth earpiece, controls work though.

Apprentice

Bought an Mpow bluetooth earpiece. Charged it, connected it, however, although the controls work from it, no sound is coming out of the earpiece. Is it likely to be faulty or am I missing something that could be preventing the sound to play through the earpiece?

Thanks

Hi @IT73

What device are you attempting to connect the headphones to? Have you tried connecting to another compatible device to see if the issue persists? As a troubleshooting step in the meantime please press the Volume button on the side of the device and tap the arrow to the right of the volume slider. Are the Media and System volume sliders at a suitable level?

Update: connected to a work Windows phone and this worked. Turned BT back on on the S7 and this now works! Glad it works for now but hate not knowing why it didn't work.

How did you get on with the Windows phone, @IT73 ? Are you using a particular application when testing the sound or have you noticed the issue occurring across all apps?

Windows phone also worked.

On S7 used Play Music, Doubletwist and Samsung music.

Glad to hear your earphones work with your Galaxy S7 Edge, @IT73. Not sure what the issue could have been, hope it doesn't return!

Unfortunately it has returned! For some reason once the BT is connected it automatically opens doubletwist music. Wonder if this is causing a problem.

It's almost as if by connecting to the Windows phone previously that ot enabled the connection to the S7.
