Some pictures in my gallery are missing. I have never deleted them or moved them anywhere, and I don't have an SD card.

Where did they go?

@Dalialsaid: Were the pictures previously accessible on the phone or have you taken some pics recently and found that they're not in the Gallery? Are there any blank or greyed out thumbnails in the Gallery? I always suggest checking Apps > My Files > Images, or looking in the Google Photos app on your phone or online via the following link: https://www.google.com/photos/about/

Thank you for your reply.

The pictures were previously accessible but disappeared.

There are no black or greyed out thumbnails in the gallery, there is no trace of them anywhere. 

I followed your two suggestions but still was  not able to find them.
