J3 Smart Lock stops working after 3 days

I set up the Smart Lock on my new J3 to recognise my home location. It worked perfectly but three days later it stopped working - the phone locked after 2 minutes even when at home. I checked that my phone recognised its location correctly and that it was correctly set on Google maps. Nothing would set it working again (clearing the cache, switching the lock and Smartlock settings on and off, etc) so I tried a full reset. It worked again - for 3 days. Now it doesn't work again, same symptoms as before.

 

I'd like to keep the facility working, but I don't intend to do a full reset every week. Can anybody help?
