Hi guys. The software team have got back to me on this one.
As some of you have tried, a temporary (if not always effective) workaround is to disable the Admin app: Settings > Security > Other Security > Device Admin > Deactivate your Admin app.
A better and more permanent solution should be coming in the next software update for you folks.
Say "Hello!" to the Community in The Introduce Yourself Thread.
We found another thing that could couse this problems...
If you are blocking installing apps from "unknown sources", than Galaxy Apps Store updates, are for Oreo an unknown source that is blocking installation.
With allowing installing apk from unknown sources, Galaxy Apps Store updates are now working...
We blocked installing from unknown sources with MDM.
Think Samsung must do something about this... ;)
Same issue on my Galaxy S8+ after updating to Oreo.
Any app i try to update - i get:
Installation failed. Try later.(com.samsung.android.calendar : -200)
I have "Mobile at Work" system administrator that i need to get work emails.
This sys admin blocks the "unknown sources" instalation.
Unfortunately i can't disable this admin as i need the phone for work, so this workaround is not good for me.
Samsung, pls provide a solution ASAP!
I now have 29 Samsung apps which won't update. I'm still losing more and more functionality.
Can't see me recommending to stick with Samsung as a corporate provider if a problem they've caused take a this long to resolve! All the wasted man hours for the users and techs. Pointless.
Very disappointed in the support from Samsung.
