A5 signal problems

I'm having problems with my signal on my A5. The service provider has confirmed full signal strength & SIM works fine in other handsets. Can anyone recommend a solution please?

Quick update. Took the phone in store & it failed a hardware test. Luckily it's under warranty so got to wait now for further tests/repair 😞

Just a quick update. My phone did have a hardware problem. Serveral internal components replace & we're as good as new. Thanks

Some phones hold onto signal better than others.

You have carried out a good process of elimination to rule out your SIM card and network connection which leaves the phone as the probable issue.

Does this issue happen everywhere ?

Perhaps try another SIM card in it.

If you deem necessary you could have a diagnostic run on it at your most local Samsung Service.

Yes. I'm still having problems. I've switched to 3g only which has helped slightly, but thats not reallly ideal for data usage. As far as I know the software is up to date.

Okay, I'd recommend visiting one of our Support Centres for further assistance from our engineers. It is a drop in service and they will aim to inspect/repair your phone in the same visit. For your nearest one, head to: http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/servicelocation/ is there one nearby?
