Samsung pay not working on S6 edge +

So ive been trying to get samsung pay to work on my phone and it just wont. I click on "get started" and it just hangs there forever, no pop-up or anything. ive already uninstalled and re-installed updatates. I have google pay working just fine, so i dont undestand why samsung pay wont work.

I received this phone second hand years ago, so i dont know if it was previously rooted or how to check if it was. When checking with a root checker app, it stated that my phone was not rooted. my device status shows as official.

Sorry to hear you're having issues with this. The best bet for any kind of Samsung Pay issues would be to get in touch with the dedicated Support Team on 0330 726 7729.

In the meantime, try this: Settings > Apps > More (3 dots top right) > Show System Apps > Samsung Pay > Storage > Clear Cache.
