I just purchased a Galaxy watch SM - R800 46mmand was delivered to the UK. Looks like it was dispatched from Hong Kong. My wife also has the 42mm version and it has samsung pay app on it.
My watch does not have the samsung pay app installed nor can I seem to install it. Can someone please help with this as its one of the main reasons I purchased the Watch.
Thanks Robbie

My wifes was bought of a different seller and every thing works fine. Mine was bought of eglobal central uk .com
Bit was shipped from Hong Kong. They refuse to accept return as it's opened.
Without turning watch on there is no way we could tell that Samsung pay was missing. Terrible crowd to buy from

If I understand correctly:
You bought these whie you were in the UK..........
Thus, regardless of where the goods came from, you purchased from the UK in the "eyes of the law". That makes it a UK Sale subject to all UK Distance Selling Regulations and applicable laws on your rights on the purchase and your rights to seek a refund if needed.
In essence it seems you have purchased a watch advertised as "fully working in the UK, or, you were simply NOT told PRIOR to purchase that the Samasung PAY app will not funtion. Differences MUST be stated to the prospective buyer BEFORE the sale contract is completed and payment is made. NO CHANGES at all to the terms can be made "later". That would be "changes after the fact" and is not permitted in UK Law. So if it does NOT operate with full compatibility with UK apps Like the "official Samsung Pay App even if you try to install it on the Phone itself via the sub menu then your ultimate sanction is:
Any Goods sold in the UK currently still have to be honoured for a two year warrnty Under EU regulations (info on the EU website). That means if it won't opertae correctly even after a UK update is processed into the watch then you can return it for a full refund under the Significantly Not As Described provision of UK law.
Take pjotos of the "app failing to work/load" to document it.
Send them to the seller and ask for a PRE-PAID return label as the smart watch is not Fit For Purpose.
Likely they will refuse and say it is not them who pays.
That is utterly wrong under UK Law. The seller pays for faulty or SNAD goods to be returned or send you the money to pay for the return at your end. No grey areas. Simply put, that is how it is.
I have to assume you used a Card (Debit or Credit card to purchase. Alwaus use a Credit Card for a payment over £100 to protect your goods up to £30,000 to replace the goods through a Section 75 Claim.
Both cards permit charebacks for the full cost inc original shipping if the item is nNFFP or SNAD and you call the card issuer to make the Visa Claim debit is 90 days to start claim, credit is 180 days to start claim
You also have 180 days on Paypal to claim.
They will all need the evidence for the claim, so get photos of your attempt to make it work on the watch and failing, then it is irrefutable and the claim will be processed for the full cost of replacement and the seller must arrange for a label.couriercollect/prepayment for return.
So if you need a UK compatible watch and they don't paly ball, call the card issuer.
FYI
My Samsung pay on the SM R800 watch didn't look like ti was working. I just went through the settings painstakingly and ensured everything was set to allow it to work.
Press and hold the "top" button and it should bring up Samsung pay even if you havent set it up on your phone and havent scanned your cards in using the phone camera. You just wont be able to pay until you have set up some cards but it will let you see if Sasung Pay is in the Smart Watch in the "background". (check which card issuers work with Samsung Pay. (Nationwide is one that works).
You could also try to install a UK operating system but that will take some web research and you could "brick" the watch if you don't have the tech savyy or experience of that.
Getting a debit card/paypal refund or claim for the Cost of a Brand New Samsung UK Watch from the Credit card issuer will be a far safer route to take.

Fantastic reply thank you. I ended up going through paypal. They decided in my favour, however I had to return the item to get the refund. In this case that meant tracked return to Hong kong which cost 62 with DHL.
I got a refund about a week after they received the watch from paypal.
The experience was stressing and i lost the return postage .
On a lucky side O2 had a offer which got the watch for 299 with 50 cash back. Plus a duo charger . So for my loss of postage i gained the fast duo charger which is a nice piece of kit.

Hi all - I have a Galaxy watch on order from Tecobuy who are based in HK. I am hoping Samsung pay will be on the device!
I will be returning it otherwise.
