Hi,

2 weeks ago I bought new A7 from samsung store. The problem is that I can't download samsung pay. It shows that my device is not compatible. I know that Samsung pay doesn't work on some phones but I got the phone straight from Samsung!

What should I do?

Hi @Ford1

see previous conversations.

"Can you check if your device has NFC as I believe it doesn't and that may be the reason of Samsung Pay not being enabled for your device."

Can you provide print screens from Settings -> About phone -> Software information - so we can see what customer code you have?

What country are you in? From what country was the device purchased?

Have you tried to go to Samsung Galaxy App store and try to see if you can find Pay UK there and try to update to latest version?

Cheers

Hi Sara,

Can you please give more details about your device?
Settings -> About Phone -> Model number (for me it's SM-N975F)
Settings -> About phone -> Software information -> Build number (for me it's QP1A.190711.020.N975FXXU1BSL7)
Settings -> About phone -> software information -> Service provider SW ver. (for me it's as per below)
First line: SAOMC_SM-N975F_OXM_BTU_QQ_0008
Second line: it's the device serial number - it's not needed
Third line: BTU/BTU, BTU/SMP

Best
George

Hi Sara,

As your device is US one I can't actually give you advice, but I would suggest you to contact Samsung US customer support here: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00045081/ (phone, livechat) for them to guide you on this.

As far as I see you have ATT device with correct software, but I don't know if that particular device supports Samsung Pay as this service relies on device hardware security (knox) which may not be enabled for your device (or it may not support it) - i'm just speculating here.

Sorry i couldn't help you more.

Thanks
